Dr Woffles Wu is a world-renowned plastic surgeon who is famous for his non-surgical facial rejuvenation the Woffles lift. Woffles has a long career in medicine and specialises in plastic surgery has run a successful private clinic since 2000.
CAREER HISTORY Wu served compulsory military service between 1978 to 1987. He took 6 years during this time to study medicine and eventually managing to become the medical officer serving the third Division of the Singapore army with the rank of Captain. Woffles Wu went on to study for his MBBS at the National University of Singapore whilst working at the Toa Payoh Hospital in Paediatrics. He then moved to Singapore general hospital to work as a plastic surgeon where he stayed until he opened his private clinic at the Camden Medical Centre. He is also listed on Practo. Woffles has also trained and worked at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne in the early 90s and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in the mid to late 90s. He also worked as a clinical teacher at the National University Singapore. PLASTIC SURGERY Dr Woffles Wu has revolutionised the procedure of non-surgical face lifting. The Woffles lift incorporates the use of a special thread that is inserted into the soft tissue of the face and then attached to the hard tissue on the scalp; the thread then holds the face in place. The thread will usually be inserted each side of the patients face into the sideburn and temple. The thread is covered in hundred of barbs which is etched by a laser. This helps the thread to cling onto the tissue to ensure the thread stays in place. The number of threads used depends on how tight the patient wants to lift to be. As well as the Woffles lift, Woffles also refined breast augmentation surgery by creating a technique called the WW Stealth Incision, which results in a scarless incision during breast augmentation surgery. Woffles is well respected in his area; he is a fellow with the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Royal College of Edinburg. PERSONAL LIFE Dr Woffles Wu was born in Singapore but raised in London, he moved back to Singapore when he was 12 years old. His mother was a beautician but later trained to be a lawyer. He has a wife and two children, a daughter and a son, where he currently resides in Bishan. A Woffles hobby include sport and art and he has appeared in many sitcoms, TV dramas, as well as being the co-producer of the film Singapore Dreaming.
